Replacing hub bearings (Escort 3)

Remove seal 4 and inner bearing from the removed hub. Using a drift, strike alternately at opposite points to knock out the outer bearing rings. Clean the hub. Using mandrel 15.015 (Fig. 4.13), press in the outer bearing rings until they stop.

NOTE: Do not separate the outer ring and the separator from the inner ring.

Apply lithium grease to the bearings. Install the inner bearing, fill the space between the edges of the seal with grease and install the seal with the working edge towards the bearing using mandrel 16.018.
