WARNING: To prevent the risk of accidental deployment, the air bag control module backup power must be discharged. Wait at least one minute after disconnecting the battery ground cable(s) before attempting any repairs or adjustments to the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) or any component(s) adjacent to the SRS sensors. Failure to follow these instructions could result in injury.

WARNING: Always wear safety glasses when working on a vehicle equipped with an air bag or when working with the air bag module. Failure to follow these instructions could result in injury.

WARNING: To minimize the possibility of premature air bag deployment, do not use radio key code storage devices when working with the supplemental restraint system. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.

WARNING: To minimize the risk of injury if the air bag deploys prematurely, always carry the charged air bag module with the air bag and trim cover facing away from your torso. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.

WARNING: To minimize the possibility of premature air bag deployment, charged air bag modules should only be installed on grounded workbenches and with the trim cover facing up. Failure to follow these instructions could result in injury.

WARNING: Never touch the tester probes to the electrical connectors of the air bag modules or any other component of the supplemental restraint system. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.

WARNING: Painting the driver air bag module trim cover or instrument cluster may damage the trim cover and the air bags. Do not, under any circumstances, attempt to paint discolored or damaged air bag module trim covers or instrument cluster. Install a new component. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
