Fuel filter water settling sensor (diesel only)

The fuel sensor is located on the right rear of the engine under the fuel filter (if you look from the driver's seat) If the fuel filter water level indicator light comes on while driving, it means that water has accumulated in the base of the fuel filter and needs to be drained immediately. To do this, you should do the following:
  • Press the clamp of the plug connector 1 and separate it from the sensor. Place a suitable flexible tube on the sensor nipple 2. To protect the environment and keep the engine compartment clean, drain the drain tube into a container
  • Unscrew sensor 3 one to three turns, but do not remove it completely. Monitor the flowing fluid and if clean diesel fuel appears, screw the sensor back in
  • Remove the drainage tube. Put the plug socket back in place
  • Start the engine The indicator light should go out after about two seconds Finally, check the fuel system for leaks.
