Removal and installation of the switch (lock) of ignition

Switch (lock) ignition is mounted on the steering column and secured with two bolts with self-tapping heads, therefore, to replace it, the bolts must be removed with a chisel or drilled with an electric drill. Switch (lock) it is more convenient to replace the ignition on the steering column removed from the car (see «Removal and installation of a steering column»).

You will need: a drill, an electric drill or a chisel with a hammer, pliers (better welding clamp), flat blade screwdriver.



1. Drill out the bolt head from the left…



2.... and the right side of the switch attachment to the steering column and remove the switch (lock) ignition assembly with a contact group.

Note. You can use a chisel and hammer to loosen the switch mounting bolts. Strike with a hammer through a chisel tangentially counterclockwise, unscrew the bolts.


3. Install the switch (lock) reverse ignition.
