Removing and installing the ignition coil

Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Remove the multi-pin connector plug from the coil socket (Fig. 2.150).



Remove the high voltage connector plug hooks and pull them out of the coil (Fig. 2.151).



Unscrew the mounting screws (with cross-head sockets) and remove the coil (Fig. 2.152).



The coil is installed in the reverse order. Make sure that the plugs of the electrical wires are correctly installed in the sockets.

If the coil shows signs of burning, it must be replaced.
