Replacing the coolant temperature sensor

            0

Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

If necessary, eliminate the increased pressure in the cooling system. To do this, very carefully and gradually open the cap of the expansion tank.

Drain coolant into a clean container (pic. 2.148).

Unplug the electrical connector from the sensor located under the intake manifold.

Unscrew the sensor.

The new sensor is installed in reverse order.

The sensor should be installed with a new gasket.

Place the plug of the electrical connector in the socket of the sensor, while paying attention to the fact that the latches of the plug and the socket of the connector are connected correctly.
Gradually fill the cooling system with liquid.

Connect the battery to the car's electrical network.

Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature (upper coolant hose must be hot).

Top up the coolant level in the expansion tank if necessary (up to sign "MAX"). On fig. 2.149 shows the coolant temperature sensor.
