Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor (CHT) (1.6L Zetec-SE/1.4L) (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Remove the spark plug wires. For additional information, refer to Section 303-07A / 303-07B / 303-07C / 303-07D.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the cylinder head temperature sensor (CHT).

2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the cylinder head temperature sensor (CHT).

3. Remove and discard the SNT sensor as unnecessary.

Installation

NOTE: Each time after removing the SNT sensor, a new sensor should be installed, since its working surface is deformed during installation.

Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
