Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (1.6L Zetec-SE/1.4L) (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) connector.



2. Remove the HO2S sensor.

Installation

CAUTION: When installing a new HO2S, it is possible that the replacement element will come with a longer cable than the one removed. It is important to route and secure the cable so that it cannot be damaged by heat or moving parts and cause noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH) problems.

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
