Knock Sensor (KS) (1.4L/1.6L) (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Remove the generator. For additional information, refer to Section 414-02.

2. Disconnect the KS sensor plug.

• 1. Slide the clamp down.
• 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

3. Disconnect the KS sensor plug from the oil level indicator dipstick tube.



4. Remove KS.

Installation

1.

CAUTION: Make sure that the KS sensor does not touch the cylinder head or the engine crankcase ventilation cover.

Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
