The fuel level indicator sensor is installed on the fuel module.
To check the sensor you will need an autotester.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the fuel module (see "Replacing the fuel pump").

3. Pry it up with a screwdriver…

4. …and disconnect the connector from the fuel level sensor terminal…

5. …and the block from the cover terminal.

6. Squeeze the clips and remove the fuel level sensor.

7. To check the fuel level indicator sensor, connect the tester in ohmmeter mode to the sensor terminals.
8. Measure the resistance of the sensor in the lower position of the lever with the float. The resistance should be 200–206 Ohms.
9. Raise the lever with the float to the extreme position - the resistance should decrease to 7.7-9.3 Ohm. If the sensor resistance differs from the given values, the sensor is faulty and must be replaced.
10. Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
