Replacing the pressure sensor in the power steering system (Fusion)

The power steering pressure sensor is screwed into the housing of the power steering pump pressure line.

You will need a 13 mm wrench.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor.

3. Unscrew the sensor from the housing of the pressure line of the power steering pump.

Caution! Take measures to prevent the working fluid from leaking out of the power steering system by plugging the hole in the pressure line housing, for example, with a wooden plug.


4. Install the pressure sensor in the reverse order of removal.

5. Check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir and add fluid if necessary (see "Checking the level and adding working fluid to the power steering reservoir").
