2. Remove the high pressure line tip, valve and spring (see figures).


3. Using a rocking motion, remove the tank from the pump body (see figure).

4. Remove the sealing ring from the pump body, clean the groove and install a new sealing ring (see picture). Make sure it is tightly seated and does not rotate.

5. Apply a layer of gasoline grease to the sealing ring and to the surface of the tank in contact with its inner diameter.
6. Place the new reservoir onto the pump body, aligning the holes for the pipe tip.
7. Install two new O-rings on the discharge pipe tip (see figure) and lubricate them with gasoline grease and install the spring, valve and tip into the pump body. Tighten the tip properly.

13. Install the pump (section 26), fill the tank with the recommended brand of liquid (chapter 1) and bleed the power steering system as stated in section 29.
