Bleeding the power steering system

            0

1. The power steering system should be bled every time the hoses and lines are disconnected to remove air and improve handling.

2. Having installed the front wheels straight and level, check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir - add fluid to the mark "Cold'' ("COLD") on the probe.

4. Bleed the system by turning the wheels from side to side without hitting them against the stopper. This will purge air from the system. During pumping, the tank must be completely filled with liquid.

5. After the air has been expelled from the system, return the wheels to a straight, level position and let the engine idle for a few more minutes.

6. Test the vehicle on the road to ensure that the steering system is working properly and is quiet.

7. Check the fluid level again - now that the engine is at normal operating temperature it should be at the HOT mark on the dipstick ("hot"). Add fluid if necessary (see chapter 1).
