All models are equipped with power steering. The steering mechanism is bolted to the subframe and controls the levers through the steering rods. The inner ends of the tie rods are protected by rubber boots that are subject to periodic checks for reliability of connection, breaks, and leakage of lubricant.

The power steering consists of a pump with a drive belt and related pipelines and hoses. It is necessary to periodically check the fluid level in the reservoir of the power steering pump (Chapter 1).

The steering wheel rotates the steering shaft connected to the steering mechanism through the universal joints and the intermediate shaft.

Steering wheel play can be caused by wear on the steering shaft universal joints, the gear rack of the inner and outer tie rod joints, and loose lock bolts.
