Warning: If suspension or steering fasteners are lost or unscrewed, they must be replaced with new ones, do not reuse them. Fasteners are replaced with new ones of the same design, quality and marking.

1. Loosen the wheel nuts. Raise the front of the vehicle, secure it securely, block the rear wheels and apply the parking brake. Remove the wheel.

2. Loosen the jam nut on the tie rod end and disengage the tie rod end from the steering knuckle as described in section 30.

3. Remove clips of casings of a crossbar of a steering drive, remove a casing from draft.

4. Before installing a new casing, wrap the threads and gear surfaces of the tie rod end with a layer of tape so as not to damage the new casing.

5. Install the new cover in place on the tie rod cross member so that it fits into the tie rod groove, then install the new clips.

6. Remove tape and install tie rod end (section 30).
