Warning: If suspension or steering fasteners are lost or unscrewed, they must be replaced with new ones of the same design, quality and marking. Do not reuse them.

Withdrawal

1. Loosen the wheel nuts. Raise the front of the vehicle, secure it securely, block the rear wheels and apply the parking brake. Remove the front wheel.

2. While holding the tie rod with locking pliers, loosen the lock nut just enough to mark the position of the tie rod in relation to the threads (see pictures).

3. Remove cotter pin and loosen nut on tie rod joint stud.

4. Disconnect the tie rod from the steering knuckle arm using a puller (see picture). Unscrew the nut and separate the tie rod joint and the steering knuckle.

5. Unscrew a tip of steering draft from steering draft.

Installation

6. Screw in the tie rod end to the marked position and insert the tie rod stud into the steering knuckle arm. Tighten locknut properly.

7. Screw a new nut onto the stud, tighten it to the required torque. Install a new pin.

8. Install the wheel, tighten the nuts. Lower the car, tighten the nuts to the required torque.

9. Check convergence.
