Bleeding the power steering system (Escort 5)

Bleed the system whenever the hydraulic system elements are disconnected. Remove the filler cap of the tank and check the fluid level in the system.

Start the engine in idle mode and slowly turn the steering wheel from lock to lock 4 times to remove air from the system. If necessary, add fluid to the system. Check the system for leaks.
