Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the power steering pump drive belt as described in Chapter 1, then unscrew the fixing bolts and remove the pump pulley.
3. Place a drain container under the pump, disconnect the tubes and drain the liquid. After this, close the ends of the tubes and the open holes of the pump. Remove the clamp bolt (if present) securing the high pressure hose to the rear of the pump support bracket.
4. After removing the support bracket bolts, remove the pump assembly (see Figure 32.4).

Installation
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal; nuts and bolts must be tightened to the tightening torque specified in the specification. Install and tension the drive belt as described in Chapter 1. Fill the system with working fluid again and bleed it as described in Section 35.
