Withdrawal
All cars
NOTE: Whenever disconnecting the hoses from the power steering pump, be careful not to let the power steering fluid get on the accessory drive belt.
1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the accumulator.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.
Diesel vehicles
3. Remove the motor protection.
All cars
4. Using the special tool, disconnect the fluid cooler hose.
- 1.Insert the special tool into the hose quick coupler.
- 2. Move the special tool through the pipeline to release the locking elements.
- Let the liquid drain into a suitable container.

NOTE: Left hand drive shown, right hand drive similar
Disconnect the hose clamp. Remove the screw.

NOTE: Right hand drive option shown, left hand drive variant is similar.
Disconnect the power steering hoses from the steering gear.
- 1. Remove the bolt.
- 2.Turn the clamping bar.
- Let the liquid drain into a suitable container.
Vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L engines without air conditioning

NOTE: Aluminum body power steering pump.
Using the special tool, disconnect the high pressure hose nipple connection.
- 1.Disconnect the hose support brackets.
- 2. Using the special tool, disconnect the hose nipple connection.
8.
NOTE: Cast iron power steering pump
Disconnect the nipple connection of the high pressure hose.
- 1.Disconnect the hose support brackets.
- 2.Disconnect the hose nipple connection.
Vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L engines with air conditioning
9. Disconnect the high pressure hose support bracket.
10. Disconnect the nipple connection of the high pressure hose. Let the liquid drain into a suitable container.
All cars
11. Lower the car.
Vehicles with 1.8L or 2.0L engine
12. Disconnect the high pressure hose support brackets.
- Turn out bolts.
- Disconnect the speed control cable (in the presence of).

NOTE: Aluminum body power steering pump.
Using the special tool, disconnect the high pressure hose nipple connection. Let the liquid drain into a suitable container.
14.
NOTE: Cast iron power steering pump.
Disconnect the nipple connection of the high pressure hose. Let the liquid drain into a suitable container.
Diesel vehicles
15. Remove the air duct coming from the charge air cooler (CAC) to the intake manifold.
- 1.Release the clamps.
- 2. Loosen the nut.
- 3.Remove the air duct.
16. Disconnect the high pressure hose support brackets.
17. Disconnect the nipple connection of the high pressure hose.
18. Remove the duct leading from the CAC to the turbocharger.
- 1.Release the clamps.
- 2. Loosen the nut.
- 3.Remove the air duct.
19. Disconnect the final pipeline going from the air filter to a turbocharger.
20. Disconnect the air filter.
- 1.Disconnect the plug connector of the air temperature sensor.
- 2.Lift up and remove the air filter.
- Set it aside.
All except diesel version
21. Remove the battery tray. See Section 414-01 for more information.
22. Remove the air filter. See Section 303-12 for more information.
All cars
23. Remove the high pressure hose.
Installation
All cars
1. If a new hose is to be installed, connect it to the new nipple.

NOTE: Cast iron power steering pump.
Using the special tool, install a new Teflon O-ring.
- 1.Place a new seal on the special tool.
- 2.Install the tool on the nipple and fit the seal.
3.
NOTE: Aluminum body power steering pump.
NOTE: Check the rubber o-ring for damage, install a new o-ring if necessary.
Using the special tool, install a new Teflon O-ring.
- 1.Place a new seal on the special tool.
- 2.Install the tool on the nipple and fit the seal.
4.
CAUTION: Make sure the hose is routed correctly.
Set the high pressure hose to the required position.
5. Install the air filter. See Section 303-12 for more information.
6. Install the battery tray. See Section 414-01 for more information.
Diesel vehicles
7.
CAUTION: Make sure the hose is routed correctly.
Set the high pressure hose to the desired position.
8. Install the air filter. Connect the plug connector.
9. Connect the exhaust pipe coming from the air filter to the turbocharger.
10. Install air duct from CAC to turbocharger.
- 1.Install the duct.
- 2. Tighten the clamps.
- 3. Screw on the nut.
11. Connect the nipple connection of the high pressure hose.
12. Install the high pressure hose support brackets.
13. Install the air duct from the CAC to the intake manifold.
- 1.Install the duct.
- 2. Tighten the clamps.
- 3. Screw on the nut.
Vehicles with 1.8L or 2.0L engine

NOTE: Aluminum body power steering pump.
Using the special tool, connect the nipple connection of the high pressure hose.
15.
NOTE: Cast iron power steering pump.
Connect the nipple connection of the high pressure hose.
16. Install the high pressure hose support brackets.
- Screw in the bolts.
- Connect the speed control cable (in the presence of).
Vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L engines with air conditioning
17. Connect the nipple connection of the high pressure hose.
All cars
18. Raise and support the car. See Section 100-02 for more information.
Vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L engines with air conditioning
19. Install the high pressure hose support bracket.
Vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L engines without air conditioning

NOTE: Aluminum body power steering pump.
Using the special tool, connect the nipple connection of the high pressure hose.
- 1. Connect the nipple connection of the hose.
- 2.Install the left hose support bracket.
- 3.Install the right hose support bracket.
21.
NOTE: Cast iron power steering pump.
Connect the nipple connection of the high pressure hose.
- 1. Connect the nipple connection of the hose.
- 2.Install the left hose support bracket.
- 3.Install the right hose support bracket.
All cars
22. Install the power steering hoses. Install the hoses and rotate the clamping bar.
23. Install the hose support clamp.
24. Connect a hose of a cooler of a working liquid.
Diesel vehicles
25. Install motor protection.
All cars
26. Lower the car.
27. Connect a wire of weight of the accumulator.
28. Remove air from system of the amplifier of a steering. See Section 211-00 for more information.
