Special tool

Oil Cooling Pipe Remover 307-242 (17-049)

Removal

1. Disconnect the hose from the tank.

• 1. Disconnect the tank.
• 2. Disconnect the hose.
• Allow the liquid to drain into a suitable container.

2. Disconnect the hose from the bracket.



3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.



4. Remove the radiator splash shield.

• Remove six screws.
• Disconnect the air temperature sensor plug (if equipped).

5. Using the special tool, disconnect the working fluid cooler hose.

• 1. Insert the special tool into the quick-release coupling of the hose.
• 2. Move the special tool along the pipeline to release the locking elements.
• Allow the liquid to drain into a suitable container.

NOTE: Diesel engine version shown, other versions are similar.

Remove the working fluid cooler.

Installation

NOTE: Bleed the power steering system after installation. Refer to Section 211-00 for additional information.

Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
