Power steering fluid level (Escort 5)

The car must be on a level horizontal surface with the engine turned off.

1. When the engine is cold, the fluid level should be near the "MAX COLD" mark, when the engine is hot, near the "MAX HOT" mark. The fluid should never be below the "MIN" mark.



2. The reservoir is located next to the expansion tank of the cooling system on the right side of the engine compartment. If refilling is necessary, wipe the area around the neck of the reservoir and unscrew the filler cap.



3. The need for frequent refilling indicates a leak that must be repaired immediately.
