1. Disassembling the cylinder head involves removing the intake and exhaust valves and related components. Unscrew the valve lever fasteners, hinge pins and the levers themselves from the cylinder head studs. Mark the parts so that you can then put each one in its place.

2. Before removing the valves, mark them so that they will be installed in the same guides later.

3. Compress the spring in the first valve with a special tool and remove the holders (see the picture). Then remove the retainers, screen, springs and spring seat. Remove the umbrella seal from the guides, then pull the valve out of the head. If the valve gets stuck in the guides (does not come out), push it back and clean the cracker groove area with a file.

4. Repeat the procedure for the remaining valves. Remember to keep all the valve parts together so that you can install them in their proper places.
