Cylinder head — disassembly and assembly

Disassembly

1. Disconnect the intake manifold. Remove the pads.



2. Remove the engine wiring harness.

• 1. Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector (TP sensor).
• 2. Disconnect the plug connector of the idle air control valve (IAC).
• Release the wiring harness.

3. Remove the engine wiring harness. Disconnect the injector connector.



4. Remove the fuel manifold.

• Disconnect the vacuum hose.
• Turn out bolts.

5. Disconnect the auxiliary elements located on a head of cylinders.

• 1.Ignition coil (EI).
• 2.Coolant outlet with gasket
• 3.Motor lifting eye
• 4.Condenser

6. Remove the camshaft position sensor (SMR).

NOTE: Do not reuse cylinder head temperature sensor (SNT)

Remove the SNT sensor.

Assembly

1.

WARNING: Do not reuse the SNT sensor. When installing a new SNT sensor, do not damage the pin contact.

CAUTION: Place the cylinder head on a soft (e.g. rubber) support.

Install the SNT sensor.

NOTE: New cylinder head comes with valves but no exhaust manifold studs.

Screw the new studs into the new cylinder head.



3. Install the camshaft position sensor (SMR) together with a new O-ring.




4. Connect the additional elements located on a head of cylinders.

• 1.Ignition coil (EI).
• 2.Coolant outlet with gasket
• 3.Motor lifting eye
• 4.Condenser

5. Connect the fuel manifold.

• 1.Install the bolts.
• 2.Connect the vacuum hose.

6. Install the engine wiring harness. Connect the injector connector.




7. Install the engine wiring harness.

• 1.Connect the throttle position sensor plug (TP sensor).
• 2. Idle Air Control Valve Connector (IAC)
• Fix the engine wiring harness.

8.

NOTE: Replace gaskets.

Install the intake manifold.
