Warning: If suspension or steering fasteners are lost or loosened, they must be replaced with new ones; do not reuse them. Fasteners must be replaced with new ones of the same design, quality and marking.
Removal
1. Loosen the wheel nuts. Raise the car, place it on stands, and remove the front wheel.
2. Loosen, but do not remove, the three upper nuts securing the strut to the body cup (see figure).
3. Remove the steering knuckle as described in section 8.
4. Disconnect the stabilizer bar connecting element from the bracket (see Figure 2.2).
5. Unscrew the three upper nuts securing the stand to the cup, while supporting the stand so that it does not fall (Figure 6.2).
6. Carefully remove the strut from the wheel opening. If the shock absorber unit is to be replaced, then look section 7 and disconnect the coil spring.
Installation
7. To install the rack, position it so that the studs pass through the cup. Tighten the nuts by hand.
8. Install the steering knuckle, tightening all fasteners to the specified torque values.
9. Connect the stabilizer bar connecting element to the strut, tighten the nuts to the required tightening torque.
10. Tighten the three upper nuts securing the strut to the cup to the required torque.
11. Install the wheel, lower the car. Tighten the wheel nuts to the required tightening torque.
