Front jet thrust and elastic hinge — removal and installation

            0

Warning: If suspension or steering fasteners are lost or unscrewed, they must be replaced with new ones, do not reuse them. Fasteners are replaced with new ones of the same design, quality and marking.

1. Loosen the wheel nuts on the side where the replacement will be carried out. Raise the car, securely place it on stands. Remove the wheel.

2. Unscrew the nut securing the torque arm to the lever and remove the Belleville washer (see picture). Pay attention to how the washer is installed - when reinstalling, its concave surface should face the hinge.

3. Unscrew the nut that secures the jet thrust to the subframe.

4. Remove the bolt and nut securing the arm to the subframe (see section 5).

5. Push the strut outward to separate the arm from the transverse frame, then push the strut back just enough to allow the tie rod to be pulled out of the transverse arm.

Caution: do not pull the racks too far back - you can damage the CV joint assembly.

6. Push the tie rod out of the cross frame, paying attention to how the washers and elastic joints are installed. Check the elastic joints for hardening and cracks, replace them if necessary.

7. If the resilient joints require replacement, refer to the appropriate control arm replacement procedure (see section 5).
