The MacPherson suspension is also used at the rear of cars with a sedan body.
On cars with a "station wagon" body, the rear suspension is on double wishbones with jet rods. All suspensions are equipped with anti-roll bars preventing body roll when turning. The rack-and-pinion steering is mounted on the subframe behind the engine. The steering arms are made as one with the knuckles.
All models described in this manual are equipped with a built-in power steering. The safety steering column is connected to the mechanism via a hinge shaft.
Note: These vehicles use both standard and metric threaded fasteners so a tool for both types of fasteners is required to complete the job.
Warning: If suspension or steering fasteners are lost or loosened, they must be replaced with new ones and not reused. To ensure proper maintenance of fasteners and reassembly, the tightening torque specifications must be followed.
