Rear stabilizer bar and bushings — removal and installation

Warning: If suspension or steering fasteners are lost or unscrewed, they must be replaced with new ones, do not reuse them. Fasteners are replaced with new ones of the same design, quality and marking.


1. Loosen the wheel support nuts, raise the rear of the car, securely place on stands. Block the front wheels, remove the rear.

2. Loosen the bottom nuts of the stabilizer bar linkage. remove washers and rubber bushings (see picture).



3. Unscrew the stabilizer bar brackets from the floor panel (see picture). Remove the bar from the vehicle.



4. Check bracket and link bushings for wear, hardening and cracks, replace if necessary. Check the upper insulators of the connecting element.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.

6. Turn off bolts and nuts. securing the stabilizer bar bracket to the lower control arm (see picture).



7. Unscrew the bolts and nuts securing the stabilizer connecting element to the housing bracket, remove the bar from the vehicle.

8. Pull the bushings and tie blocks off the rod, check for breakage. Replace worn parts.

9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
