Trailing arm (station wagon) — removal and installation

Warning: If suspension or steering fasteners are lost or unscrewed, they must be replaced with new ones, do not reuse them. Fasteners are replaced with new ones of the same design, quality and marking.

Withdrawal


1. Loosen the wheel nuts, raise the car, place it on stands. Block the front wheels and remove the rear wheel.

2. Place a floor jack under the lower arm and raise it to normal height. Remove the bolt and nut securing the trailing arm to the lower arm (see picture).

3. Install the tie rod.


3. Unscrew a nut and a bolt, fastening jet draft to a frame, remove jet draft from the car.

Installation


4. Place the tie rod in the frame bracket, install the bolt and nut, but do not tighten them.

5. Insert the rear of the tie rod up into the lower arm, install the bolt and nut, and tighten the nut to the correct torque.

6. Tighten to the required torque the bolt that secures the tie rod to the frame.

7. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle. Tighten the nuts to the required tightening torque.

8. If the jet thrust has been replaced with a new one, check and, if necessary, adjust the convergence of the rear wheels.
