Loosen the bolts securing the stabilizer bar to the body, then loosen the nuts 1 (fig. 4.8). remove washers 2, split bushings 3 securing the stabilizer to the suspension arms and remove the anti-roll bar 6. To install the stabilizer, insert its ends into the suspension arms, install the split bushings, washers with the curved side facing the bushings and screw on the nuts without tightening them.

Secure the stabilizer bar to the body, lower the car, tighten the stabilizer mounting bracket bolts to a torque of 4.5-5.6 kgf·m and bend the edges of the lock washers on the edge of the bolts. Tighten the stabilizer mounting nuts to the suspension arms.

On cars manufactured since March 1983, after releasing the ends of the stabilizer bar, remove the bolt securing one of the suspension arms to the car body. Remove the stabilizer bar bushings and lubricate the stabilizer bar to improve the rotation of the bar in the bushings. Install the bushings in place.

The left-hand threaded end of the rod is installed on the right side. After the end of the stabilizer rod is secured in the suspension arm, secure the disconnected suspension arm to the body.
