Warning: If suspension or steering fasteners are lost or loosened, they must be replaced with new ones; do not reuse them. Fasteners must be replaced with new ones of the same design, quality and marking.
Removal
1. Loosen the wheel nuts on the side where the work will be carried out, raise the front of the car, support it securely on stands and remove the wheel.
2. Unscrew the nut securing the reaction rod to the lever, remove the disc washer (see figure 4.2).
3. Unscrew the bolt and nut from the inner hinge of the lever (see figure).

4. Unscrew the tie bolt and the ball joint nut from the steering knuckle (see figure). Slightly lift the unit with a screwdriver or lever.

5. Press down on the lever to separate it from the steering knuckle (see figure).

6. Remove the lever from the torque rod and remove it from the vehicle.
Examination
7. Check the lever for wear and tear, and the elastic joints for wear, damage, and destruction. Replace a damaged or bent lever with a new one. If the bushings of the inner hinge or power strut are worn out, a special tool is required to replace them. If the ball joint is damaged or worn out, you will have to replace the transverse lever.
Installation
8. Install the control arm ball joint stud into the steering knuckle. Note that the notch on the ball joint stud must align with the hole in the knuckle before the pinch bolt is installed. Slide the new pinch bolt through the front of the steering knuckle and tighten the new nut to the specified torque.
9. Push the stabilizer bar intermediate ring into the rubber bushing of the lever at the front. Rotate the lever to the desired position relative to the tip of the reaction rod.
10. Install the lever bolt, tighten the nut to the required tightening torque.
11. Install the washer between the longitudinal and transverse levers. Tighten the nut (so that the concave part of the washer is outside the elastic joint). Tighten the nut to the required tightening torque.
12. Install the wheel and tighten the nuts, tighten the wheel nuts to the required tightening torque.
