Warning: If suspension or steering fasteners are lost or unscrewed, they must be replaced with new ones, do not reuse them. Fasteners are replaced with new ones of the same design, quality and marking.

Withdrawal

1. Loosen the wheel nuts on the side where the work will be done, raise the front of the vehicle, place it securely on stands and remove the wheel.

2. Unscrew the nut that secures the jet link to the lever, remove the Belleville washer (see figure 4.2).

3. Unscrew the bolt and nut from the inner pivot of the arm (see picture).

4. Unscrew the pinch bolt and ball joint nut from the steering knuckle (see picture). Pry up the assembly slightly with a screwdriver or lever.

5. Press the lever down to separate it from the steering knuckle (see picture).

6. Remove the lever from jet draft and remove it from the car.

Examination

7. Check up the lever on attrition, and elastic hinges - on deterioration, damages, destructions. Replace damaged or bent lever with a new one. If the inner pivot bushings or power rack bushings are worn, a special tool is required to replace them. If the ball joint is damaged or worn, you will have to change the transverse lever.

Installation

8. Establish a hairpin of a spherical hinge of the lever in a rotary fist. Note that the notch on the ball joint stud must align with the hole in the knuckle before the pinch bolt is installed. Insert a new tie bolt in front of the steering knuckle, and after tightening the new nut, tighten it to the required torque.

9. Push the stabilizer bar spacer into the arm rubber bushing from the front. Rotate the lever to the desired position relative to the tie rod end.

10. Install the lever bolt, tighten the nut to the required torque.

11. Establish a washer between longitudinal and cross and levers. tighten the nut (so that the concave part of the washer is outside the elastic hinge). Tighten the nut to the required tightening torque.

12. Install the wheel and tighten the nuts, tighten the wheel nuts to the required torque.
