Removal and installation the shock absorber strut (Fusion)

You will need: wrenches "10", "13", "15", a chisel, a hammer.

1. Apply the parking brake and place wheel chocks under the rear wheels.

Note: …so before removing the strut with the vehicle on the ground, loosen the upper strut mount nut.

5. …and remove the brake hose from the bracket on the shock absorber strut.

7. Unscrew the bolt of the terminal connection of the steering knuckle of the shock absorber strut mount.

8. Use a chisel and hammer to loosen the terminal connection.

10. …remove the strut from the steering knuckle terminal connection and remove the shock absorber strut.

Note: Do not over-tighten the brake hose to avoid damaging it.


11. Install the shock absorber strut in the reverse order of removal.
