Replacing the front suspension arm

            0

You will need: keys «at 15», «at 18», TORX T50.

1. Brake the vehicle with the parking brake and set the wheel chocks («shoes») under the rear wheels. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and place it on stands. Remove the wheel.

Attention! Loosen and tighten the wheel bolts only with the vehicle on the ground.

2. Turn away a nut, take out a coupling bolt of a terminal connection of a rotary fist and press out a finger of a spherical support (see «Shock absorber ball joint replacement»).

3. Holding the bolt from turning with a key, unscrew the nut with the second key and remove the bolt of the front mounting of the lever.

4. Turn out three bolts of fastening of a back support of the lever …

5.... and remove the lever assembly with the ball joint.

Note. Since the original front suspension arms are supplied as spare parts complete with a ball joint and silent blocks, further disassembly of the arm does not make sense.

6. Establish details in an order, the return to removal, without tightening finally fastenings of rubber-metal hinges of the lever.

7. After lowering the vehicle to the ground, rock it hard several times. Finally tighten the suspension bolts with the vehicle on the ground to the torque specified in annex 1.

Note. After replacing the front ball joint, check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment. Use the services of workshops with special equipment.
