Replacing the electronic engine control unit

To replace the electronic engine control unit, you must have certain skills. In the absence of sufficient skill, do not try to remove the computer yourself, but contact a specialized workshop.

You will need: a drill, a J6 mm drill, a TORX T25 key.

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.

2. Remove the battery tray (see «Removing and installing the battery»).



3. Use a screwdriver to pry the retainers for securing the protective cover of the wiring harness block..



4.... and remove the protective cover.



5. Install a special guide sleeve for drilling the bolt into the hole and drill out the bolt.

6. Disconnect the wiring harness block from the computer.

7. Using pliers, remove the remnants of the bolt from the block.

8. Install the electronic engine control unit and all previously removed parts in reverse order.
