Electronic control unit

Due to the use of an electronic digital ignition system, ignition timing adjustment is not required. The memory of the control unit stores programs and setting data. The crankshaft speed, oxygen and coolant temperature sensors, throttle position potentiometer and air flow meter provide the control unit with information about the state of the engine, on the basis of which the control unit calculates the ignition timing for the actual engine load of the Fiesta.
