Removal and installation of the electronic control unit of the additional passive safety system

You will need: all the tools needed to remove the field tunnel lining, as well as a TORX T30 wrench.

1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.

2. Remove the lining of the floor tunnel (see Removing and installing floor tunnel lining).



3. Remove the thermal protection foil from the surface of the block.



4. Pressing the latch..



5.... disconnect the small block of the wiring harness from the electronic unit.




6. By pressing the latch of the holder of the large block of the wiring harness..



7….unfasten the holder…



8.... and disconnect the wiring harness block from the electronic unit.



9. Turn out three screws of fastening of the electronic control unit of additional system of passive safety …




10….and remove it.

NOTE: Pay attention to the marking of the control unit, for replacement, purchase a unit with the same marking.

The control unit can be installed on the car in only one position, however, for control, pay attention to the arrow on its label - it must be directed forward in the direction of the car.

11. Establish the electronic control unit of additional system of passive safety and all removed details in an order, the return to removal.
