Removing and installing front wheel speed sensors (Mondeo 4)

The front wheel speed sensor is mounted on the steering knuckle.

You will need a TORX T25 key.

1. Remove the wheel.

2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

3. In the front wheel arch, clean the sensor wiring harness pads from dirt..

4….and disconnect them.

5. Disconnect the sensor wiring harness holders from the bracket on the body…

6….and on the shock absorber strut.

7. Clean the wiring harness connector and the sensor mounted on the steering knuckle from dirt.

8. Squeeze the clips and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor.

9. Remove the sensor mounting screw…

10….and remove the sensor from the steering knuckle hole.

11. Install the front wheel speed sensor in the reverse order of removal.
