You will need a TORX T30 key.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the left front wheel).

3. Remove the fender liner (see Removing and installing wheel mudguards and fender liners).

4. Remove the protective cover of the electronic engine control unit, overcoming the resistance of its clips.
NOTE: For clarity, the work is shown with the front bumper removed.

5. Turn the gray wiring harness connector lock clockwise 90°…

6….and disconnect the connector from the block.

7. Similarly, disconnect the brown…

8….and black pads.
HELPFUL TIP: Remember or write down the locations of the wire harness connectors so you can reinstall them in their original locations.

9. Loosen the four bolts securing the engine control unit to the washer reservoir…

10….unscrew the bolts…

NOTE: This is how the mounting holes are located in the block (for clarity, shown on a removed block, since when the block is installed on the car, all mounting bolts are inaccessible for photography).

11….and remove the block.
NOTE: Pay attention to the marking of the electronic engine control unit. Purchase a new unit with the same marking.

12. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
