Replacing steering column switches


The steering column paddle shifters are part of a module mounted on the steering column and cannot be replaced individually.

If they fail, the module is replaced as a whole.

You will need a TORX T25 key.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the upper and lower parts of the steering column cover (see Removing and installing the steering column cover).

3. Remove the steering wheel (see Removing and installing the steering wheel).

5….disconnect the wiring harness connector from the steering column switch module.

7….disconnect the wiring harness connector from the driver's airbag contact ring.

8. Remove two bolts securing the module to the steering column in front…

10….and remove the module.

11. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
