To remove the windshield wiper linkage assembly with the gear motor, do the following.
1. Remove the wiper arms together with the blades.
2. Remove the air intake box trim (see Removing and installing the air intake box trim).

3. Use a screwdriver to press the wiring harness connector lock…

4….and disconnect the block from the windshield wiper motor.

5. Loosen the three bolts securing the windshield wiper linkage…

NOTE: This is the location of the wiper linkage mounting bolts.

6….unscrew the bolts…

7….and remove the trapezoid assembly with the gear motor from the air intake box.

8. Install the trapezoid assembly with the gear motor and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: Pay attention to the marking of the unit. When purchasing a new trapezoid assembly with a gear motor, purchase a unit with the same marking.
For replacement of gear motor do the following.
1. Remove the trapezoid assembly with the gear motor (see above in this subsection).

2. Use a screwdriver to pry up the trapezoid rod in the area of its hinge…

3….and disconnect the rod from the crank pin, overcoming the elastic resistance of its retainer.

4. Loosen the crankshaft mounting nut…

5….unscrew the nut…

6….and remove the crank from the gear motor shaft.

7. Remove the three mounting screws…

8….and disconnect the gear motor from the trapezoid.

NOTE: Pay attention to the marking of the gear motor. For replacement, purchase a gear motor with the same marking.
9. Install the windshield wiper motor in the reverse order of removal.
