1. Remove the windshield wiper arms (see "Replacing the Windshield Wiper Arms").
NOTE: The wiper arms can be removed together with the blades.
2. Remove the air intake box grille and water deflector shield (see "Removing and installing the air intake box grille and water drain shield").
3. Remove the three bolts securing the windshield wiper linkage to the front body shield.
4. Remove the trapezoid assembly with the gear motor from the air intake box, press the retainer of the windshield wiper wiring harness block..
5. …disconnect the block from the gear motor…
6. …and remove the windshield wiper linkage assembly with the gear motor.
NOTE: The windshield wiper linkage is a non-separable design. If there is increased play in its hinges or if the levers are damaged, replace the linkage as an assembly. The gear motor can be disconnected from the linkage (see "Replacing the windshield wiper motor").
7. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
