Removing and installing the air intake box grille and water drain shield (Focus 2)

The air intake box grille and water deflector shield are removed if they are damaged or to gain access to the windshield wiper, as well as when replacing the windshield glass.

You will need: TORX T30 key, flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Open the hood and place it on the support.

3. Using a screwdriver, remove the six spring clips of the air intake box grille.

4. Remove the levers from the wiper linkage axles (see "Replacing the Windshield Wiper Arms").

5. Remove the air intake box grille by removing the longitudinal protrusion on the rear edge of the grille from the groove in the windshield seal.

8. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
