Removing and installing the battery mounting shelf (Focus 2)

The battery mounting shelf is removed for replacement if it is damaged and to gain access to other vehicle components.

You will need a 10mm socket head.

1. Remove the battery (see "Removing and installing the battery").

2. Remove the electronic engine control unit (see "Removing and installing the electronic engine control unit").

3. Remove the air intake box grille and water deflector shield (see "Removing and installing the air intake box grille and water drain shield").



4. Remove the three bolts securing the shelf to the front body shield…



5. …and remove the shelf.

6. Install the battery mounting shelf in the reverse order of removal.
