Removing and installing the battery mounting shelf (Mondeo 4)

The battery mounting shelf is removed for replacement if it is damaged and to gain access to other vehicle components.

You will need: a 10 mm socket head and a flat-blade screwdriver.



1. Remove the battery (see Removing and installing the battery).



2. Unscrew the three bolts securing the shelf to the front body shield.



3. Press the latch..



4….and remove the shelf.

5. Install the battery mounting shelf in the reverse order of removal.
