Removing and installing the battery (Escort 5)

Removal

Unscrew the nut and disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Remove the plastic cover from the positive terminal of the battery then unscrew the nut and remove the positive cable from the battery. Unscrew the 2 battery mounting bolts and remove the clamp from the front of the battery.

Remove the battery from the cradle. Clean the battery terminals and case.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
