Removal and installation of a starter

Withdrawal

Remove the negative terminal from the battery. Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands.

Unscrew the 2 nuts and remove the starter heat shield. Unscrew nuts and disconnect electric wires from a starter and the traction relay. Remove the connector from the oxygen sensor wire (see fig. 5A.20, 5A.21).









Unscrew bolts and remove a starter.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
