Only batteries with the same nominal voltage (12 volts) can be connected. Use cables with insulated terminals of sufficient cross-section. Do not disconnect the battery from the vehicle's electrical system.
To connect the wires
1. Place the cars so that they do not touch each other.
2. Turn off the engines. Turn off all unnecessary electrical equipment.
3. Connect the positive (+) terminals of both batteries (wire A).
4. Connect one end of the second cable to the negative (-) terminal of the charged battery and the other end to a metal part of the engine to be started (wire B), but not to the negative (-) terminal of the dead battery.
5. Be careful that the wires do not touch moving parts of the engine.
To start the engine
1. Start the car engine with a charged battery and let it run at medium speed.
2. Start the engine with a discharged battery.
3. After starting, allow both engines to idle for 3 minutes before removing the wires.
To disconnect the wires
1. To reduce the voltage surge when removing the wires, turn on the fan and rear window defroster in a car with a dead battery.
2. First disconnect wire B, then wire A.
Warning! Do not turn on the headlights instead of the rear window defroster. A power surge can cause the lamps to burn out.
