Removal and installation of the frame of the engine compartment and the bar of the front bumper

You will need: all the tools needed to remove the mudguard and protect the engine crankcase (cm. «Removal and installation of a mudguard of the engine»), grille (cm. «Removal and installation of facing of a radiator»), front bumper (cm. «Removal and installation of a forward bumper»), front fenders (cm. «Removal and installation of a forward wing»), as well as the keys «on 10», «at 13», TORX T30, socket «for 8».

Before removing the engine compartment frame or front bumper bar do the following.

1. Open the hood and place it on the stop.

2. Remove the mudguard and crankcase protection (cm. «Removal and installation of a mudguard of the engine»).

3. Remove the grille (cm. «Removal and installation of facing of a radiator»).

4. Remove the front bumper (cm. «Removal and installation of a forward bumper»).

5. Remove both front fenders (cm. «Removal and installation of a forward wing»).

6. Remove the radiator of the engine cooling system (cm. «Replacing the cooling system radiator»).

To remove the frame of the engine compartmentdo the following.



1. On the left side of the mudguard of the engine compartment, unscrew the mounting bolt «mass» wiring harness and remove the harness inside the engine compartment.




2. On the left and on the right, unscrew one bolt securing the frame of the engine compartment to the front bumper bar..



3.... two bolts of its fastening to the mudguards of the engine compartment..

NOTE: The frame-to-mudguard bolts through the adjusting stops have thick flat washers. Do not lose them and put them back when reassembling.

If you remove the frame of the engine compartment not for replacement, do not turn the nuts of the adjustable screw stops of the frame so as not to disturb the adjustment of its position relative to the rest of the engine compartment. If, after installing a new frame, uneven gaps between the body parts of the front end are observed, with the frame fastening bolts loosened, adjust its position by turning the stop nuts and tighten the bolts.



4.... and remove the frame.

5. Establish a framework of a motor compartment and all removed details in an order, the return to removal.

To remove the front bumper bar do the following.

1. Remove the frame of the engine compartment (see above in this subsection).




2. Turn out bolts of forward …



3.... rear..



4.... and side mounts of the intake silencer to the front bumper bar..



5.... and remove the muffler.




6. On both sides of the car, remove two bolts securing the radiator frame to the front bumper bar and to the body side member and remove the frame.



7. Remove the screw securing the right radiator casing to the front bumper bar..



8.... and remove the casing. Remove the left radiator shroud in the same way.



9. On both sides of the car, unscrew the four nuts securing the front bumper beam to the body side members and remove the beam.

NOTE: This is the location of the fourth nut that secures the front bumper bar to the side member on the left side (it is not visible in the photo p. 9).

WARNING: One of the nuts for fastening the front bumper bar on the right side is also attached to the air conditioner dryer receiver. After removing the receiver bracket from the stud, do not move the receiver far to the side so as not to damage the system tubes, and fix the receiver in any way possible (for example, tying it to the body with wire).

10. Install the front bumper bar and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
