Removal and installation of the front bumper and its bar

You will need all the tools needed to remove the front fender liner, as well as sockets «on 10» And «at 13», flat blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.

2. Open the hood and place it on the stop.

3. Remove the front fenders (see «Removal and installation of wheel mudguards and fender liner»).



4. Disconnect the wiring harness pads from the fog lamp leads (see «Fog Lamp Replacement»).



5. In the arches of both front wheels, turn out two bolts securing the bumper to its beam..



6.... and one bolt each of the bumper to the front fenders.




7. From inside the bumper, on its left and right sides, press out the two latches securing the bumper to the radiator frame and remove the latches from the holes in the frame.



8. In the upper part of the bumper, press the three holders on the radiator frame with a screwdriver, remove the bumper latches from the holes of the holders..

Note. This is how the upper holders of the front bumper are located on the radiator frame.

9.... and remove the bumper, taking out two of its clips on both sides (shown in the photo by arrows) from holes in the front fenders.

10. If you removed the bumper for replacement, remove the fog lights from it (see «Fog Lamp Replacement») and install on the new bumper.



11. Prying off with a screwdriver, remove three clips for fastening the two side shields of the radiator on the left and right..

Note. Replace the damaged caps of fastening of guards.

12.... and remove both guards.



13. Prying off with a screwdriver, remove one piston securing the lower radiator shield to the bumper bar on the left and right..



14.... and remove the shield.



15. Disconnect the wiring harness block from the holder on the front bumper bar..

Note. If you are removing the bumper bar for replacement, remove the wire harness holder from the hole in the bar by prying it out with a screwdriver and install it on the new bar.

16.... cut with a knife three clamps securing the wiring harness to the bar and take the harness to the side.

Note. Clamps for fastening the wiring harness to the front bumper bar are disposable. It is impossible to separate them or remove them from the beam holes without damage. Therefore, when reassembling, install new clamps.

17. On the inside of the radiator frame (left and right) unscrew the two bolts securing the front bumper bar to it.



18. Turn out on four bolts of fastening of a bar of a forward bumper to side members of a body at the left and on the right …



19.... and remove the beam.

20. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
