1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the mudguard…

3. …and the front fender liner (see "Removal and installation wheel mudguards and fender liners").

4. Remove the side turn signal light (see "Replacing the side turn signal light").

5. Remove the front bumper (see "Removal and installation the front bumper and its bar").

6. Remove the headlight (see "Headlight replacement").

7. Remove the two bolts securing the wing to the engine compartment frame…

8. …and two bolts for fastening to the threshold.

9. Remove the vibration damping insert from the wing cavity.

10. From the inside of the wing, unscrew the bolt that secures it to the front body pillar.

11. Remove the front and rear bolts securing the upper wing to the engine compartment frame, the two bolts securing the hood hinge to the body and remove the wing.
Note: Before unscrewing the hood hinge mounting bolts, have an assistant hold the hood, and before removing the wing, have an assistant lift it up enough to create a gap between the hinge and the wing that is large enough to remove the wing from the engine compartment frame shelf. After removing the wing, temporarily secure the hood hinge to the frame with at least one bolt.
Note: If you do not have an assistant, you will have to remove the hood first (see "Removal and installation the hood").
12. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
