Windshield wiper operation (Escort 3)

In continuous operation modes, the electric motor is braked by the circuit: terminal "31" of the electric motor, stop switch, terminal "31b" of the electric motor, terminal "31b" of the switch, terminal "53" of the switch and the electric motor, and terminal "+" of the electric motor.

When the intermittent mode is switched on, voltage is supplied to terminal "54" (Fig. 7.73) of the time relay, the relay switches on and supplies voltage to the electric motor through terminal "31b2" of the relay, terminals "31b2" and "53" of the switch and the electric motor.



Braking of the electric motor by the relay's opening contact on one side, and by opening the connection between terminals "31b2" and "53" of the switch. The time relay is installed in the mounting block. The windshield wiper works together with the windshield washer.
